Cedar Hill Businesses and Restaurants Contribute to Teacher Appreciation Week

The Cedar Hill High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) teamed with several local businesses for Teacher Appreciation Week last week.

“The community support was great, and that made the week extremely successful,” CHHS PTSA President Candi Davis said.

Davis credited the important contributions of the PTSA’s Teacher Appreciation Committee Team of Nikki and Torrey Carroll, Tracy Columbus, Sandra Davis, Demeatra Spann, Chernita Holley, Candice McCurdy, Ada Widemon and Davis’ husband, Eric.

“We had already planned to do something special for the teachers and staff of CHHS, but with the passing of the school's beloved Principal, Shay Whittaker, they knew they had to go the extra mile,” Davis said. “Ms. Whittaker always said, ‘Make sure my staff knows they are appreciated.’ With that in mind, the committee members contacted businesses throughout the Cedar Hill community to make the week spectacular and the community support was overwhelming.”
