Saniyah McGrew Selected As 2023-2024 Cedar Hill ISD Teen Superintendent

Cedar Hill Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Gerald Hudson announced that rising Cedar Hill High School freshman Saniyah McGrew will be the 2023-2024 CHISD Teen Superintendent at Monday’s CHISD Board of Trustees Meeting.

“We are elated to have Saniyah McGrew as the next CHISD Teen Superintendent,” Hudson said. “She’s been very involved in Cedar Hill ISD and is one of the best scholar leaders in the district. We know she’ll make a positive impact in this position.”

McGrew, the oldest of four siblings often known as the “McGrew Crew”, has attended Cedar Hill ISD since Kindergarten.

“I am so honored to be the 2023-2024 CHISD Teen Superintendent,” McGrew said. “Skylar Wesley set an amazing foundation, and I look to continue building upon this leadership program.”

When McGrew was a Bray Elementary scholar, she was selected for the Cedar Hill Library Advisory Board. The new library is expected to be completed next year.

She was one of seven CHISD Scholar Bond Ambassadors earlier this month.

McGrew won the CHISD Spelling Bee as a seventh grader and finished second as an eighth grader, qualifying for the Dallas County Spelling Bee both times.

She was selected to attend a National Storytelling Conference in Utah last fall.
