Williams Sworn In As Newest Cedar Hill ISD Trustee

Denishea Williams was sworn into office as the newest Cedar Hill ISD Trustee at Monday’s Board Meeting.

Williams, a longtime Cedar Hill ISD PTA Leader who served as Council of PTAS President in the district was elected on Saturday, May 6. She tallied more votes than fellow candidates Kim Rimmer and Will Campbell, respectively.

“I am very excited to serve on the CHISD Board of Trustees,” Williams said. “I believe in serving others, and I find the greatest joy in educating and empowering individuals and families.”

Williams succeeds Dr. Jeremiah Martin in Place 5. The Board had an opportunity to say farewell to Martin, who chose not to run for a second term on the Board.

A Dallas native, Williams has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate’s Degree from Dallas College.

Professionally, Williams is a Mental Health Advocate and Speaker for SisStar Support Circle. She is a wife, mother, advocate, community leader, entrepreneur and a lifetime Girl Scout.

Over the years, Williams has volunteered to increase parental involvement and volunteerism in Cedar Hill ISD. She’s collaborated with organizations such as the Texas PTA Advocacy Committee and Raise Your Hand Texas on a wide variety of educational topics. Williams’ volunteer work includes the Texas Women Foundation, American Heart Association, Mom Congress and 20/20 Mom. She served as the President of Mocha Moms Inc., Dallas South Chapter.
