Scott Designs New Logo for Cedar Hill Shares Food Pantry

Yolandia Scott turned an interest in drawing into a potential Graphic Design career pathway.

Scott,  a Cedar Hill High School junior who began Graphic Design last year, won the Cedar Hill Shares Food Pantry’s Design Contest. The non-profit will use the new logo, and Cedar Hill Shares President Neil Bolton presented Scott with a $1,000 check.

“I started drawing on my phone, and my mother recommended Graphic Design,” Scott said. “My Art Teacher also encouraged me. I learned a lot in Graphic Design class about Photoshop and Illustrator.”

Scott has created posters and helped design doors and tables with vinyl. She is seriously considering Graphic Design for a career.

Scott is also a member of the Cedar Hill High School Air Force JROTC, and she’s been enrolled in the district since her seventh grade year at Permenter Middle School in 2016-2017.
