Inclement Weather Process

It’s that time of year, wintery weather may cause campus and event delays. When making decisions our first priority is the safety of our 7,800 scholars and staff.

To ensure you receive the most immediate notifications, please do the following:

  • Like and follow us on social media - Twitter (@CedarHillISD), or Facebook.
  • Update your cell phone number and email in Skyward.

 In the event of delays, cancellations or closures, the CHISD Communications Department will notify you by:

  • Text (Opt in, text Y to 67587)
  • Email
  • Recorded phone message (If decision is made before 8 p.m. and after 7 a.m.)
  • Social Media
  • News - WFAA8, NBC5, CBS11, FOX4 
  • CHISD and campus websites
