Students Pick Up Checks for AP Scores

Longhorn scholars picked up their payouts for AP exam scores; those who earned a 3, 4, or 5 were given $300, $400, or $500, respectively. The Cedar Hill Education Foundation funded the program with a $30,000 donation. A total of 80 students were eligible for payouts, some receiving more than $1,000 for their scores.

As a result of the incentive program, the number of scores that receive college credit (3, 4 and 5) nearly doubled, and enrollment in AP classes increased 40 percent for the 2018-19 school year. This is the first year Cedar Hill students have received monetary incentives for AP scores.
