Marquita Rollins-White has more than 10 years of education experience. Prior to joining CHISD, she was a math instructional specialist and a middle school math teacher with Fort Worth ISD. While with FWISD, she worked with a great team to move their "improvement required" status to "met standard".
In previous years, Rollins-White also enjoyed being a volleyball coach and mentor. This afforded her the opportunity to help young ladies be healthy and strong physically on the court, and emotionally/mentally strong off the court.
Rollins-White is married with 4 children. As a family they enjoy traveling and exploring new places.
Mrs. Rollins-White is the GEAR UP coordinator for Cedar Hill High School and Collegiate High School.
Louis Salazar works directly with the GEAR UP program staff and the Cohort Senior and Junior students of Cedar Hill ISD to ensure students are on track of graduating high school and successfully pursuing post-secondary education, workforce, vocational training and/or military. He works with programs focused on building students' college and career skills (e.g. College Career and Military Readiness, Texas Achieve, TSI, ACT, SAT, etc.) to prepare students beyond high school. Additionally, acts as the liaison between students, their parents, the GEAR UP staff, high school counselors, educators and administrators while also in charge of managing and maintaining the EGI web-based database.
