The Health Services Department provides the Longhorn Experience by empowering children and parents with the knowledge necessary to promote wellness and maintain healthy lifestyles. We support the education process by ensuring that the students are safe, healthy and ready to learn; therefore preparing students for a successful academic school year and beyond. The Cedar Hill ISD Health Services staff is comprised of professional Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocation Nurses (LVN) and certified Clinic Assistants. We do not have registered nurses on every campus, however, we do have clinic assistants that are housed on every campus except Cedar Hill High School and Collegiate Academy/HS and they are closely supported and monitored by an RN supervisor. Our clinic assistants have been trained in Basic Life Support, first aid, administration of medications, and other procedures, and are skilled at rendering the appropriate care. It is our goal to provide the best quality care we can.
