TSI Assessment

The TSI Assessment (TSIA) is part of the Texas Success Initiative program designed to help colleges or universities determine if students are ready for college-level course work in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. It assesses the likelihood that a scholar will need remediation in college and if they will score C or better in a college course.

Why are we doing this? Our student outcome goal #1 is tied to college readiness and we get additional points toward our district letter grade when we have more kids ready for college. The data collected will let us know by child the deficiencies in place and what teachers need to do to close the gaps. The TSI testing days are listed below.

  • May 11 - 11th & 12th grade TSIA ELAR
  • May 12 - 11th & 12th grade TSIA Math
  • May 19 - 8th, 9th, 10th grade ELAR
  • May 20 - 10th grade Math
