Academic Services
Welcome to the Department of Academics for Cedar Hill ISD. Our mission is to ensure that all CHISD scholars are at or above grade level in reading and math by 3rd grade and all CHISD graduates are college, career, and/or military ready.
Cedar Hill ISD Academic Philosophy Statement
Cedar Hill ISD is committed to cultivating a scholar-centered learning environment where student voice, choice, and active engagement drive academic excellence. Our instructional philosophy prioritizes rigorous and relevant learning experiences that develop strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, foster inquiry in STEM, and build 21st-century skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and communication.
Teachers serve as facilitators of learning, guiding scholars through personalized, differentiated instruction that is both academically challenging and aligned to College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) standards. Scholars are empowered to take ownership of their learning by engaging in meaningful academic discourse, problem-solving, and real-world application of knowledge.
By nurturing curiosity, independence, and a growth mindset, Cedar Hill ISD ensures that every scholar is prepared to lead, learn, and succeed in an ever-changing global society.
