Bio: Trustee Roache-Davis is very familiar with Cedar Hill ISD as a Principal at five different CHISD campuses – both elementary and secondary - between 2002-2017.

Roache-Davis was the first principal at Lake Ridge Elementary when it opened its doors in 2002. She served there until 2007 when she became the Principal at Permenter Middle School, from 2007-2012. Roache-Davis then served as Principal of Bray Elementary (2012-2013), Bessie Coleman Middle School (2013-2014) and the Ninth Grade Center (2014-2017). In 2007, Roache-Davis was the CHISD Administrator of the Year.

Roache-Davis earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and an education specialist degree from Nova University, also in Florida, in Administration and Supervision. Her Master’s Degree, from Florida Atlantic University, was in Guidance & Counseling. Roache-Davis earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Kentucky State University in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.

Prior to arriving at CHISD, Roache-Davis served as a principal in Fort Worth ISD and Palm Beach County, Florida. She worked in Palm Beach County, Florida schools as a teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal and principal from 1978-1998. Roache-Davis began her career as a teacher at Booker T. Washington Elementary School in Lexington, Kentucky from 1976-1978.

Roache-Davis has served on multiple CHISD Committees, including the Elementary and Kindergarten Report Card Committees and the District Calendar Committee. She is involved in numerous Cedar Hill and Dallas organizations, including the Cedar Hill Lions Club.

Roache-Davis is a member of the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church as well as an Education Committee Member at the church.

Bio: Mrs. Ramona Ross-Bacon is a trustee, veteran, scholar, and community leader whose work integrates educational governance, veteran advocacy, and human-centered leadership. With a sustained record of service to the Cedar Hill community, she advances collaborative frameworks that strengthen public education as a pillar of municipal vitality. Alongside her husband, Troy, she is the proud parent of five sons, including Thaddaeus, a 2015 graduate of Cedar Hill Collegiate High School. Her engagement within Collegiate High School parent leadership organizations reflects her long-standing commitment to fostering strategic partnerships among families, educators, scholars, staff, and administrators to position Cedar Hill ISD as a premier educational system responsive to twenty-first century demands.

A retired United States Navy Gulf War combat veteran, Ross-Bacon served honorably from 1984 to 2002 as a Vertical Launch Missile and Missile Systems Specialist. Her military tenure cultivated a mission-first leadership ethos grounded in discipline, technical precision, and operational accountability. She extends this commitment to service through her role as Certified Chapter Officer and Charter Founder of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 240, and she currently serves as First Junior Vice Commander for both the DAV Department of Texas and the Cedar Hill Chapter. Her veteran advocacy centers on strengthening institutional processes that ensure equitable access to disability benefits, educational pathways, and community reintegration resources.

Ross-Bacon’s professional trajectory reflects a deep investment in human development and restorative practice. She has devoted her career to counseling, with specialized expertise in substance abuse, codependency, and career development. As a doctoral candidate at Southern Methodist University, she engages advanced scholarship at the intersection of leadership studies, dispute resolution, and community systems. She holds a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution with Executive and Performance Coach Certification from SMU, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Saint Leo University, and associate degrees in Substance Abuse Counseling and Social Work from Eastfield College. Her professional credentials include Educational Support Specialist Certification, Community Health Worker Certification, and Mental Health First Aid Certification, supplemented by numerous regional endorsements earned in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

An entrepreneur and educational innovator, Ross-Bacon is the founder and owner of A Mother’s Love Preschool and Daycare, where she designed and implemented a preschool readiness curriculum that establishes rigorous cognitive and socio-emotional foundations before public school entry. She is also the founder of The Village Foundation Youth of Veterans Initiative, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing disability advocacy, educational attainment, legal access, and financial stability for veterans and their dependents.

Grounded in faith and service, Ross-Bacon is an active member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, where she serves in the Military Ministry. Across civic, educational, military, and nonprofit domains, her leadership reflects an integrated commitment to systems-level transformation, intergenerational equity, and the restoration of human dignity through education and service.

Bio: Cedar Hill ISD Trustee Carma Morgan has worked as an educator since 1997. She began as a Social Studies and Mathematics Teacher in Dallas ISD and became an administrator in Lancaster ISD. Morgan is currently an Instructional Coordinator in DeSoto ISD.

Morgan earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman’s University in Denton and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Mathematics from Cameron University in her hometown of Lawton, Oklahoma.

Morgan served honorably in the United States Air Force as a Dental Assistant for four years. She was stationed in North Dakota, Korea and Texas.

Morgan has lived in Cedar Hill since 2007 and is the proud parent of five daughters – two of whom graduated from Cedar Hill ISD and three of whom are current CHISD scholars.

Bio: Trustee Dr. Jacquetta Haygood brings a wealth of educational experience to the Board with 33 years of dedication to public education. Haygood served as a teacher from 1993 through 2007 for districts in Texas, Kansas, Georgia and Oklahoma, as her husband’s career as a U.S. Army Audiologist moved the family frequently.

From 2007 to the present, Haygood has worked as an assistant principal at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She’s currently an Assistant Principal at Mansfield High School. A Cedar Hill citizen since 2014, Haygood’s involvement and servant leadership extends within the community to include CHISD Bond Oversite Committee (2024-Present), CHISD School Board Trustee Contributor (2025 - Present), CHISD PTA Member 2014- Present, CHHS Red Army Band Booster Club & Alumni Member 2018-Present, and CHHS Principal’s Focus Group 2019-2021. She attends and serves faithfully at Point of Light Church in Cedar Hill, Texas as the Director of the Adult Praise Dance Team since 2015 - Present.

She has been married since 1998. She is blessed with two wonderful children. Her son has proudly served in the US Army as well as completed a tour in Iraq and her daughter is currently attending college and majoring in Biology to one day become an OBGYN. Haygood earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership Curriculum & Instruction from Liberty University and a Doctorate Specialist in Educational Leadership, Administration and Supervision, also from Liberty. Haygood earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Bio: Ayanna Cabrera-Cook is a passionate community leader, organizational management specialist, and the visionary founder of For Me Communications — a dynamic firm that specializes in coaching, strategic branding, marketing, professional training, and content development for individuals, organizations, and businesses seeking to grow their influence and impact.

Currently serving her first term as a Cedar Hill ISD Trustee, Cabrera-Cook has a long-standing record of service within the district. She has held multiple leadership roles, including President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Cedar Hill Council of PTAs, and served in similar capacities at High Pointe Elementary and Bessie Coleman Middle School. Her involvement extends to the Longhorn Futures Committee, Budget Committee, and Equity Committee, where she has consistently advocated for equity, student achievement, and stronger community partnerships.

Originally from New York, Cabrera-Cook has called Cedar Hill home for the past 18 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce and an Associate’s Degree from Southwestern Christian College. She is the proud parent of three Longhorns — a Cedar Hill High School rising junior, a Bessie Coleman Middle School rising seventh grader, and a 2022 CHHS graduate.

Professionally, she brings extensive experience in event coordination, communications, and community engagement. As a trainer, branding and marketing expert, and thought partner, she is committed to helping others amplify their voices and visions. Through For Me Communications, she empowers clients to elevate their brands, streamline operations, and cultivate meaningful connections.

Cabrera-Cook is an active member of Central Pointe Church of Christ in Dallas and has proudly been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated , for over 30 years, currently serving in the Southwest Dallas County Alumnae Chapter. Her unwavering commitment to education, leadership, and advocacy drives her mission to foster inclusive, informed, and empowered communities.

Bio: Dr. Lester Singleton moved to Cedar Hill in 2000, and his two children attended Cedar Hill ISD.

An administrator in  Dallas ISD, Singleton is one of three Trustees with experience working in the education field, joining Trustee Carma Morgan. Board Vice President Dr. Denise Roache-Davis is a retired educator.
The Mississippi native earned a Doctorate of Ministry at Andersonville Seminary and two Master’s Degrees from Texas A&M University-Commerce (Educational Administration and Secondary Education). Singleton earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Dallas Baptist University.

Singleton has served on the City of Cedar Hill Beautification and Environmental Sustainability Board for the past decade. He’s a member of Cedar Hill All Pro Dads and a former member of the City of Cedar Hill’s Comprehensive Plan Committee. He served as a volunteer for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) of Dallas County.

Singleton chose to run because of his passion, experience, leadership and vision of excellence. School safety is a top priority for Singleton, along with creating positive relationships and school culture.

Bio: Trustee Denishea Williams is a longtime Cedar Hill ISD PTA leader who recently served as the Council of PTAs President in Cedar Hill ISD. She is a wife, mother, advocate, community leader, entrepreneur and a lifetime Girl Scout.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate’s Degree from Dallas College.

Professionally, Williams is a Mental Health Advocate and Speaker for SisStar Support Circle.

A Dallas native, Williams is proud of her efforts to increase parental involvement and volunteerism in Cedar Hill ISD. She’s collaborated with organizations such as the Texas PTA Advocacy Committee and Raise Your Hand Texas on a wide variety of educational topics.

Williams’ volunteer work includes the Texas Women Foundation, American Heart Association, Mom Congress and 20/20 Mom. She served as the President of Mocha Moms Inc., Dallas South Chapter.

Williams believes in serving others, and she finds the greatest joy in educating and empowering individuals and families.
