CHISD Teen Superintendent

The Cedar Hill ISD Teen Superintendent helps support the district's Communication Department and incorporates Student Voice in district initiatives and information. The selected scholar provides input from a scholars' perspective and shares news and information on the Teen Superintendent Instagram Account. Selected every two years, the Teen Superintendent completes an online application and interview process with the Communications Department and Superintendent.

Saniyah McGrew

Meet Saniyah McGrew, Teen Superintendent 2025 - 2027

A proud member of Cedar Hill ISD since Kindergarten, Saniyah is the oldest of four siblings, often referred to as the “McGrew Crew.”

Throughout her journey in Cedar Hill ISD, Saniyah has consistently demonstrated a passion for leadership and academic excellence. As a Bray Elementary scholar, she was selected for the Cedar Hill Library Advisory Board, playing a role in shaping the district’s new library, set to be completed next year.

Saniyah's dedication to learning extends beyond the classroom. She won the CHISD Spelling Bee as a seventh grader and placed second in eighth grade, earning the opportunity to compete in the Dallas County Spelling Bee both times. Additionally, she was selected to attend the prestigious National Storytelling Conference in Utah last fall, showcasing her strong communication and storytelling skills.

As Teen Superintendent, Saniyah is committed to representing her peers and continuing to inspire leadership and excellence within the Cedar Hill community.
