Cedar Hill ISD Families, Staff and Community Members
The Cedar Hill ISD Board of Trustees and administration plan to convene a committee of Cedar Hill stakeholders to evaluate, assess, prioritize and report their findings on future capital project needs for the CHISD.
The Longhorn Futures Committee will be made up of a thorough cross-section of the CHISD community, which will include:
- Parents and non-parents
- Young adults and senior citizens
- CHISD staff
- CHISD scholars
- Cedar Hill business owners
- Cedar Hill community and civic leaders
The committee will meet on Thursday evenings starting in March with their work expected to wrap up in June.
Who Can Serve on the LFC?

CHISD is looking for 45-60 stakeholders who:
- are respected in the community
- work well with others
- are not be afraid to speak up or take action
- have the scholars’ and district’s best interests at heart
- can commit to attending Thursday evening meetings
Any CHISD parent, employee or community member can complete the required questionnaire for consideration.
The Longhorn Futures Committee Charge:

- Represent the entire community in the facility planning process
- Review, assess and prioritize the District’s current and long-term facility needs
- Consider the educational needs of all scholars and align recommendations with CHISD’s mission, vision and student outcome goals.
- Consider the district’s current financial position and funding methods to develop a recommendation that is fiscally sound.
- Report their findings to the Cedar Hill ISD Board of Trustees to include recommendations on how to proceed with a long-range facilities plan.

Committee Chairs
Will Campbell - ChairWill Campbell was born and raised in Texas and has over 16 years experience leading organizations from 13 to 300 people. He served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps infantry, both in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2003-2013, and has trained over 1600 Marines and more than 400 foreign military and law enforcement. This experience combined with his civilian work includes Training, Project, Operations, Asset, and Facility management having directed $34 million in repairs and maintenance work for over 400 locations nationwide. In addition, he has directed over 30 projects across seven states totaling over $12 million, completing all on time and under budget. Currently, Will is a consultant with an engineering firm specializing in helping municipalities and institutions of higher education develop strategic asset management plans and implement asset management programs to improve the condition of their facilities through continuous improvement practices. Calling Cedar Hill his home, Will is married with four children. His wife is a firefighter with Mansfield fire department and his family attends Rush Creek church Mira Lagos where he teaches 5th and 6th graders every Sunday.Krystal Collins - Co-ChairKrystal Collins and her family are fairly new residents to Cedar Hill, and to Texas. Krystal was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but spent most of her adulthood living and working in Orange County, California before moving to Texas in January 2019. Like many transplants, they came due to better economic conditions and opportunities.
She has 4 children, 3 of which are within the CHISD school system ranging from elementary to high school. Their youngest child attends a local daycare. She is a certified HR Professional (SHRM-CP) and holds various HR certificates which include Veterans at Work, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace amongst others. As for hobbies, in her past-time she loves to make natural soaps, and she also paints.
Dr. Camille Gray - Co-ChairDr. Camille Gray is the Creator, CEO and Brand Ambassador of the EmpowerHer brand of women's wellness. Her life management company embodies everything that is important to Dr. Gray: physical, mental, financial and spiritual well-being. She is passionate about helping women overcome the cultural, religious, familial traditions and expectations that challenge holistic wellness. The EmpowerHer brand offers custom individual and group counseling & coaching; seminars, workshops and retreats specifically designed to empower women.
Dr, Gray holds a PhD. in Psychology with an emphasis in the Psychology of Religion; as well as B.A. and M.A. in Religious Studies, with emphasis in World Religions and Religion and Culture, respectively.
Dr. Gray is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce; and serves on the boards of Kingdom Royale Luxury Boys Home, Leadership Southwest, the Cedar Hill ISD Education Foundation and the Longhorns Futures Committee.
