Right at School Right at School

The nationally recognized after school student enrichment provider, Right At School,  manages Cedar Hill ISD's before- and after-school programming at all of the District’s elementary schools. (Effective for the 2016-17 School Year)

When the school bell rings, working parents need to know their children are happy, healthy, safe, and engaged. Along with unsurpassed scheduling flexibility, outstanding customer service, and homework support that preserves essential family time, Right At School delivers on all fronts.  Their dynamic year-long curriculum has been developed by educational experts who disguise meaningful learning with hands-on fun. Through multi-sensory activities, child-driven projects, daily fitness, team building and leadership development, their programs are exceptional.

The Right Club program will be available every day school is in session, from the time the school bell rings until 6:30PM. Parents can sign their students up for 3 or 5 days per week, based on the family’s needs. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, and have the opportunity to complete their homework. The Right Club also features dynamic enrichment curriculum, in the form of two-week units.  In 2015-16, these units include: Getting Down To Business, where students were introduced to money and commerce from around the world, learning through games and activities about the value of saving and the different consequences of  spending;  Icky Experiments, where students experimented with sticky substances that (enjoyably!) grossed them out, but also taught them the chemistry and processes beneath every day substances; and Variety Show, where students rehearsed and performed their individual talent acts and community numbers  to entertain each other and their parents.   Students will have so much fun with the activities that they won’t know that they are learning, which is the key to Right At School’s disguised learning educational approach.

In addition to our current, fantastic before- and after-school educators and program, CHISD has identified the following additional Right At School benefits for our families: lower student to staff ratio (15:1), flexible scheduling, online registration & payment portal, customer service team, and community partnerships.  In order to provide families safe, meaningful, and consistent care, Right At School also provides coverage during the school year’s student holidays and throughout the summer!
