Mr. Norman Jones
Norman Jones is a passionate and energetic leader. His teaching career began in Fort Worth ISD at Morningside Middle School as an eighth-grade social studies teacher. While in Fort Worth ISD, he became the lead content teacher for social studies while coaching football and basketball. In 2012 he transitioned to Grand Prairie ISD where he served as a mentor teacher and master teacher at Grand Prairie 9th Grade Center and Grand Prairie High School. As a master teacher, he provided professional development to over 40 teachers weekly.
In 2014 Jones became an assistant principal in Lancaster ISD. He worked tirelessly to help ensure student safety and student achievement. He returned to Grand Prairie ISD as the principal of David Daniels Elementary Academy of Science and Math. In his first year as principal, the campus experienced double-digit gains in math and reading. He received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington.
