The Special Education Department of CHISD will provide the Longhorn Experience by providing individualized educational experiences to all scholars with special learning needs. Our mission is to provide the supplemental aids and services necessary to assist every CHISD scholar who receives special education services.

The Special Education Information Center (SPEDTex) provides resources and interactive features for increasing family awareness of disabilities and special education processes, with the goal of improving partnerships between schools and families.
