Dr. Daniel Diaz
Dr. Diaz has been teaching technology at Bessie Coleman since 2013. This year, Dr. Diaz will be teaching 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
Dr. Diaz has been a resident of the DFW area for most of his life. He was ten years old when his family moved from Chicago, IL (Go Bears!) to Irving, TX. Dr. Diaz is a veteran of the US Army. He served for three years, from January 1985 through December 1987. Dr. Diaz met his wife, who is a native of North Carolina, while he was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. Dr. Diaz and his wife married in 1988 and moved back to Texas. Dr. Diaz and his wife have three children--two daughters and a son. Dr. Diaz and his family are members of Vertical Church Ovilla, where Dr. Diaz serves as the media operator.
Dr. Diaz is a graduate of Parker University (formerly Parker College of Chiropractic). He earned a BS in anatomy and a DC (Doctor of Chiropractic) from Parker. Dr. Diaz was a faculty member at Parker University for five years. While on staff at Parker, Dr. Diaz supervised interns in the student and outpatient clinics. He also taught a course in medical documentation and record-keeping.
Although Dr. Diaz’ education is in healthcare, he has a passion for technology. After 20 years in chiropractic, he decided to re-enter the field of education, to teach technology. Dr. Diaz enjoys website design, creating motion graphics and video editing. Dr. Diaz owns a small website design company.
