Mr. William (Bill) Carlisle

I'm originally from a small town in Northeastern Montana where I grew up on the family farm.  After high school I went to college at Montana State University- Billings and the University of Montana in Missoula where I studied history and received a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations.  Before deciding on a career in teaching, I worked in a variety of different jobs including a 911 Operator, a contractor for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and a volunteer firefighter for 16 years.

My wife and I, along with our 5 kids, moved to Texas in 2006, where I went on to attended the University of Texas in Arlington and received my teaching certification.  I became a teacher because I love working with kids and my grandmother and parents were teachers.  So it just sort of runs in the blood.

I've been teaching for 7 years now and this year marks my 6th year as part of the Longhorn family.  This year I will be teaching Journalism, Economics, Government, Debate and I am the Longhorn Yearbook adviser.  I look forward to another great year at CHHS.
