Nicholas Wilson is entering his 5th year of teaching and beginning his first year in the Cedar Hill Independent School District at Bessie Coleman Middle School. Prior to coming to Cedar Hill ISD, He was the assistant director at Central Junior High in Euless, Texas. In 2018, the Central Junior High Band program was selected as one of four middle schools in the nation to perform at the 2019 Midwest Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Wilson received his Bachelors of Music in Music Education from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX, Where he studied under Dennis Fisher, Clay Couturioux, and Dr. Nicholas Williams. While in college, Mr. Wilson was a member of the UNT performing ensembles, as well as a member of the University of North Texas Green Brigade marching band.
At Bessie Coleman Mr. Wilson conducts the Honors Band, assists with the Symphonic Band. He also teaches beginning trumpet, french horn, trombone/euphonium, and tuba classes. Bands under Mr. Wilson have consistently earned sweepstakes UIL ratings, and other contest.
Mr. Wilson is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. He looks forward to mentoring and helping all of his students excel on a daily basis.
When not at work, Mr. Wilson likes to read, go on walks and travel the world!
