Mr. William Davis
Welcome back WOE Families!
As we embark on the 2023-2024 school year, I'd like to welcome back our families! I am entering my 5th year here at Waterford Oaks, and I'm proclaiming this to be the best year yet!
We will be P.I.R.A.T.E.s this school year. The P stands for PASSION, we will be passionate in our pursuits to ensure that we are providing a top tier education experience for each of our scholars. We will expect excelence in accordance with our Learship Definition. The I stands for IMMERSION, as we ensure that we continue to be inclusive of our scholars and families. Here at WOE, everyone is welcome and we will strive to make sure all of comfortable in the partnerships and supports that are being provided. The R stands for RAPPORT, as we buildin relationships with our scholars, families and the community. We are a village who wants the best for our scholars! The A stands for ASK & ANALYZE, teachers will use higher-order thinking questions to push our kids thinking to new heights. The T stands for TRANSFORMATION, as we eveolve and transform into a highly rated campus through hard work and dedication. The E stands for ENTHUSIASM, as we face each day with a sense of joy and excitement in the work that will be done!
Creating a partnership amongst us all involves a commitment to tap into our scholar's education by working with our teachers and ensuring our scholars are committed to excellence. Checking on your scholar progress through Skyward Family Access, reaching out to teachers to establish a positive rapport, reading with your scholars nightly are a few ways to tap into your child(s) educational pursuits. We also hope that all families will join PTA or All Pro Dad's! Our staff will also strive to establish a positive rapport with all families by communicating our expectations, holding parent and teacher conferences and establishing positive communication with families.
To stay up-to-date on what’s happening throughout the year, follow us on Twitter @CHISD_WOE or facebook @WOE_Longhorns, read "The WOE Weekly", check our website, and make sure your contact information is current with the campus.
I am one very proud principal to serve the Waterford Oaks Elementary learning community! I know that by working together we can and will reach every goal we have set for this school year!
I am happily married to Lyndsie, our CHISD Transition Specialist through the Special Education department, and we have three beautiful children; Audra who is now a Freshmen at Cedar Hill High School, William, Jr. (Deuce) who is a 5th grader here at Waterford Oaks and Asher, who just turned two! We are excited to be all in with the Cedar Hill community and Cedar Hill ISD!
Looking forward to safe and productive school year,
William Davis, Proud Principal
