Longhorn Parents, Guardians, and Family,

As one of Plummer's Kindergarten teachers, I welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year.

As educators, we have been "charged" with continuing to make CHISD the "Leading Choice".  This year, as we continue to build a solid educational foundation for your child, I will strive to make this school year an amazingly memorable  chapter in your child's life.

I am thrilled to be making a contribution that will last a lifetime as your scholar's teacher this year!  We will be doing so many fun and exciting things.  We will engage in hands-on experiences, make connections, and apply what we learn to real life.  Be prepared to see your child grow academically and socially!  I believe that all children can learn and that it is pertinent that scholars become a stakeholder in their education.  I believe that children are afforded the best education when there are strong/healthy, open lines of communication between the teacher, the student, and the parent.

It is important that our Kindergarten scholars learn their sight words and can fluently read them.  After the scholars learn them, it is pertinent that they continuously study them.  Please help me make word recognition a success.  Fluently recognizing their sight words will make reading and writing a much more enjoyable and empowering experience.

I expect all scholars to take owenersip for their actions and make every effort to excel in the Essential 10.

This is the start of my 15th year in education and my 12th year in CHISD.  I am a graduate of Paris Junior College and a two time graduate of Southern Arkansas University.

The best way to contact me is through Class Dojo.

The best time to contact me through phone or email is from 9:45-10:30 Monday-Friday.  If possible, when emailing please also send a quick Class Dojo message letting me know that you sent me an email.

Thank you for partnering with me,

  Ms. MeChanda Tracy-Beal
