Mr. Eric E. Barnes

Greetings! It’s a great day to be a Collegiate Longhorn! As this is my first year being a member of the Cedar Hill Longhorn family, I am grateful for the warm welcome that I have received thus far. I am honored to apart of such a special community that is dedicated to student excellence.

I have been a dedicated educator for thirteen years with experience at varying grade levels, both in the classroom and as an administrator. I believe that an inspiring educator ignites a passion for learning in which ordinary students become extraordinary. What motivates me as an educator is being able to serve as a role model in helping young people transition into well-rounded adults who are lifelong learners with hearts for service.

I am married to the love of my life, Kristen, and we have four beautiful godchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, sports (Go Cowboys!), cooking, listening to music, and traveling.  I am definitely a lover of life and embrace challenges or opportunities directly when presented.

As a lifelong learner, I am excited to learn and grow from the Cedar Hill Collegiate family.  Furthermore, I am excited to further my experiences while ensuring that the tradition of excellence continues at Collegiate.  "Celebrating the Past, Understanding the Present, Embracing the Future" is my personal motto. If I can be of service, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Educationally yours,
Eric E. Barnes, M.Ed.
