Mrs. Michelle Dewberry

Hello: My Name is Mrs. Dewberry. I am the New Health Science Teacher for Cedar Hill High School.  Please take a few moments to read my BIO I have provided below.

Philosophy Of Education

From a horizontal perspective, it is essential for me to have an everlasting rear view with mankind. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their age or socically-econcomically background. My personal goal is to reach as many people in this life; inspiring young people to reach their full potential in order to live in a successful life. I am committed to help young people especially to make a profound difference in our society. I want to see young people in positions where they can express their likes and dislikes, while maintaining respect for themselves, the laws of the land and others. I strive to make my classroom a fun, safe learning environment for everyone in my class. Over the years, I have learned that teaching not just going covering content but, to teach to the mind of young people. As I have accepted my role and responsibility; I am reminded of what John Rawls stated, "Until we start to live in a society where everyone chooses to wear " A Veil of Ignorance" to remove the scales from our eyes and choose to live a selfless life, we can not live in a peace.

My Educational Background/Professional Background:

From an educational perspective, currently, I am certified in Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Medical Office Specialist, Medical Billing and Coding and a CPR Instructor. In addition to, I have an Associate Degree in Health Science, Bachelor in General Studies and a Master In Science. I have been fortunate to utilize my studies to educate young people for over 18 years in Education. Being an Instructor is my calling and I do not take my role nor my responsibilities for granted. From a professional perspective, I have worked for Skilled nursing facilities, Hospitals, Healthcare Clinics, Career Colleges in addition to, Junior CollegeTarrant County College and Dallas Community Community. As an Educator, I am committed to provide every student with a quality education regardless the challenges I face personally and professionally.
