Mrs. LaTosha Brown

Greetings Waterford Oaks family!

I am the Instructional Coach for Waterford Oaks Elementary.  This year our mission is for all students to soar for excellence, as they collaborate in both engaging and interactive lessons that enhance their knowledge and skills.  The first 13 years of my career in education were spent in Dallas Independent School District.  Eager to obtain more knowledge to strengthen my skills as an educator, I transitioned to Irving Independent School District for two years. I am both honored and elated to enter my third year as a Cedar Hill Longhorn educator.  We will now have the opportunity to grow together as I embark on my 18th year in education as a Longhorn!

I am a proud graduate of Southern Methodist University with a Bachelors in English.  I then received my Masters in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas.  I also have a principal and ESL certification.  My education will not end here, my goal is to continue my academic studies in the near future.  My greatest reward and treasures are my husband of 17 years and our two sons.  They, along with our children, are my driving force.  This year, our campus and our goal will be to set a standard of excellence for our school district.  This year I am excited to be a part of the leading choice district and at Waterford Oaks we will color our vision of excellence for all to see!  It's a great year to be a longhorn!

Success is to be measured not so by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed. ~Booker T. Washington
