Mrs. Eugenia Stodola

Welcome back Longhorns for an exciting 2020-2021 school year!

I will be working at Bessie Coleman for my fourth year, with students in Fundamentals of Math Resource classes  for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.  I will be located in room 209. I have been in education for more than 20 years, ranging from teaching Pre-K  to a Geology instructor at UTA. Aside from education, I have previously worked as an exploration geologist in the petroleum industry, served on the Cedar Hill Zula B. Wylie Library Board, and volunteered in several areas of the community.

I attended undergraduate school at the University of South Florida, Natural Science/Geology. My required summer session of  Geology Field Camp was at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas.

I attended graduate school at The University of Texas at Arlington, Geology.

This past summer was hard on everyone, with Covid-19 keeping us at home. My husband and I have been married for 34 years.  I wasn't able to make my summer trip to see our children. Katie is up in Annapolis (she is attending grad school at Johns Hopkins University), and my son, Alex, who recently moved back to Texas (Houston), after graduating from West Point, and then serving in the Army with the 82nd Airborne, is now working at MD Anderson Hospital. My son and his wife had their first baby in October, Julia. She is such a happy baby! I also have a dog, Winston, and cat, Pegi.

Hoping for a great and exciting year for everyone! We ARE in this together, and are all learning everyday!
