Longhorn Ambassador Program
You have a chance to join the new Cedar Hill ISD Ambassador program and get an insider's look into the district. CHISD communications is accepting applications from parents, community members and staff now through July 23.
The purpose of the Cedar Hill ISD Longhorn Ambassador Program is to gain a deeper understanding of the day-to-day operations of the school district. District ambassadors learn about district leadership, communications, strategic planning, educational programs, student services, technology, human resources, facilities, operations and school finance!
Ambassadors will be prepared to become district advocates; they will help educate the community on the lesser-known aspects of public school oeprations, unique needs of CHISD, campus accomplishments and positives news.
Ambassador membership includes:
- Official Longhorn Ambassador pin
- Regular communication from CHISD Chief of Communications and Family and Community Engagement Director
- Invitation to annual Longhorn Ambassador Induction luncheon
- Longhorn Ambassador polo shirt.

June 24 - online applications available at chisd.net/ambassadors
July 23 - online application window closes
July 24 - Longhorn Ambassador selection committee meets
July 25 - Longhorn Ambassador Class for 2019-2020 are notified
August 7 - Longhorn Ambassador Luncheon
September 2019 - Highlands Elementary Bilingual Program Tour & Breakfast
December 2019 - Evening Cooking class with Cedar Hill High School Culinary Students
February 2020 - Tour of CHISD Fire Academy
May 2020 - Campus beautification project and End of the Year celebration
Meetings will be informal and conversations will be led by district leaders.
