DROP OFF AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES…Click Here to view a map and a printable handout regarding dismissal procedures.
Students will only be allowed to enter through the front door. The doors will open at 7:00 am and the students will report directly to the café. Please note that students may not be left unattended before 7:00 am.
We will have breakfast in the café from 7:00 am - 7:30 am. Students will be tardy at 7:35 am.
For the first week of school, you may walk your child to class. We want to foster independence in our children, so after the first week of school, students will go to class on their own.
Dismissal will begin at 3:00. No student will be dismissed from the office after 2:45 since this is a transition time for us. All students must be picked up by 3:30 pm.
To make the process go quickly, please make sure your child knows exactly how they will be getting home.
Please note, and this is very important especially for new parents, that the two lane road that runs in front of Bray is a one-way street.
*Walkers will be released from door 17 in the gym.
*If you want to park in the parking lot and walk up to retrieve your child, they will be released from door 17 in the gym. We will only release students whose parents walk up to door 17, not the front office. Anyone picking up a Bray Scholar MUST have their name tag or report to the office. No Exceptions.
*Please note that the first lane in the parking lot is for busses only.
*Car riders will be dismissed from the front door. You may form a single line on Bennett Street and along North Broad. For safety reasons, no child will be allowed to be picked up from the 2nd lane.
* Bus riders will be released from the front door.
* If your child attends the Right at School Program, you must come inside and sign them out.
*TEACHERS ARE ON DISMISSAL DUTY UNTIL 3:15. So they can monitor students, parents will not be allowed in the gym during dismissal to talk to the teachers. Teachers out front doing car duty will also not be available to talk until after 3:15.
Thank you very much for helping us make drop off and dismissal smooth and safe processes!
