GREETINGS LONGHORN FAMILY,
I am excited to be the Academic Interventionist here at Waterford Oaks Elementary, where our goal is to Color the Vision as we SOAR toward Excellence as The Leading Choice!
It is my honor and privilege to be working in my 17th year as an educator and toward my 21st year in the education field with CHISD. During my tenure I have worked in several capacities including: District Interventional Specialist, taught 1st, 5th, 6th and 8th grades in the areas of: Self-contained, Science, Social Studies, Reading Instructional Support, ELAR teacher, as well as campus-wide math/reading enrichment. In addition to teaching, I've accepted various committee assignments such as: DAC- District Advisory Committee, SBDMC-Site Based Decision Making Committee, Vertical Alignment, Curriculum Writing, Campus Leadership, and Superintendent’s Roundtable; just to name a few. Each committee has greatly enriched my decision making and collaboration skills. I have served in leadership roles including: District Mentor, Department Chair for Science and Social Studies, and Team Lead.
I hold degrees in Education Administration and Interdisciplinary Studies (with a minor in Reading and Elementary Education) as well as certificates in EC-12 Principal, Elementary Reading (1-8), Elementary Self-Contained (1-8), PDAS, and ILD.
I have two children currently enrolled and three whom have graduated from CHISD. I am proud of my children and the district that has prepared them for success in life. I stand ready and committed to helping Waterford Oaks scholars achieve the same or greater success in a safe and academically challenging environment. I look forward to working closely with the campus staff and leadership team to make Waterford Oaks a model for academic achievement.
~Mrs. V. Jackson
