• Cedar Hill ISD scholars who will be in grades 6 through 12 for the 2021-2022 school year will select their elective courses between February 22 and March 5.

    In previous years, scholars have selected their courses in person, but due to COVID-19, all course selections will be completed online, on Skyward Student Access.

    Incoming high school scholars will choose three electives, as well as two alternates, their core classes, plus a class affiliated with their endorsement, will already be pre-selected for them.

    Incoming sixth through eighth grade scholars will pick two electives. They will not select an endorsement until they enroll in high school.

    February 25 - “STOP. Sign In. Select. Sign Off” Districtwide Online Course Selection Day

  • What Are Scholars Selecting?

    Parents should review the Program of Study to learn more about the courses. Here are the fields of study for electives:

    • Athletics
    • Fine Arts (Band, Art, Theatre, Dance, Cheer, Drill Team)
    • Foreign Languages
    • AVID
    • Core course electives (Debate, Yearbook, etc)
    • CTE Electives (outlined by endorsement, including Professional Communications, Financial Math and Business Information Systems)

    Incoming 6-8 Graders

    • Incoming sixth through eighth grade scholars will pick two electives.

    Incoming 9-12 Graders

    • The course request information does not pertain to Collegiate High school; however, they will need to go into student access and follow the steps to sign their endorsement.
    • Scholars will have a two step process to complete: 1. Select Courses. 2. Sign off on their endorsement.
