Register for a Float Here

• The deadline to submit your registration form is September 2, 2026.
• 5:00 pm check-in time for all parade participants
• Group sponsors must check in at designated zones.
• Only parade vehicles/floats will be allowed beyond the check-in point. 
• The float line-up area will be marked in the staging area.
• Parade floats, and participants should stay in their zone once they arrive. 
• Every group participating in the parade must have some sort of banner or signage identifying their group.
• Each group participating in the parade is responsible for trash pickup at the staging area.
• Each group is responsible for identifying a “parade leader” who is responsible for all vehicles connected with their entry and for any person marching with their entry.
• All parade float drivers must be over 21 and have a valid driver’s license.
• Floats must be in place by 5:45 pm for inspection by the CHISD Police Department.
• All floats must have a railing of 36” on all sides.
• No offloading of float riders will be permitted anywhere along the parade route.
• For the safety of participants and spectators, no 18-wheelers will be allowed.
• For the safety of Parade participants, students/participants under the age of 10 should not participate as "walkers" in the Parade. All children under 10 must ride on a vehicle or float.  
• All floats must have at least 2 spotters (1 on each side) along the parade route.
• No alcoholic beverages will be permitted during the parade. Any entry found with any
• Alcoholic beverages will be removed from the Parade immediately.
