This scholarship was established to honor the life, leadership, and enduring impact of Lt. Col. William W. Wilson III, and to celebrate the legacy he shared with his wife, longtime Cedar Hill community leader, Dr. Peggy M. Wilson. This scholarship reflects Lt. Col. Wilson’s unwavering commitment to service, integrity, and the development of young leaders who exemplify character and dedication both in and out of uniform.
The scholarship recognizes an outstanding graduating senior JROTC cadet who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and meaningful service within their unit and community. The recipient will embody the core values of the JROTC program; leadership, citizenship, responsibility, and selfless service; while making significant contributions that strengthen the unit and inspire fellow cadets.
Through this award, the Wilson family legacy continues to invest in the next generation of leaders, supporting cadets who lead with courage, serve with humility, and strive to make a lasting difference in their schools and communities.
