District Social Media
Social media is a highly effective free communication tool available to CHISD schools and departments. The Communications and Marketing Department is available to help schools and departments start their social media accounts. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you are interested in starting a social media account for your campus of program so we can provide guidance.
At least two campus employees–including the principal – should have the password and access to the social media account. That way, the campus still has access to the account if the primary social media lead leaves.The Communications & Marketing Office currently manages:

We highly recommend most schools and departments start by creating and maintaining one social media account on one social media platform. The district’s two recommended social media platforms – Facebook and Twitter have their own strengths for schools and departments.

Registering Your District Social Media Site
Social media sites being used by individuals to conduct school or district business, must be registered with CHISD Communications. Registering your professional social media site with the CHISD Communications department allows the Communication Department to offer support and guidance to staff.
