Library Magic Happens Everyday.

Degrees and Certifications:

Dr. Sonja Bryant Stewart

I'm proud of being an educator for 31 years. I've been a Cedar Hill resident as long. I have been a librarian for 22 years. For about a decade, I was head librarian at Townview Magnet  (Dallas ISD). There I had the good fortune of Apple Computers, Inc., selecting me to be a part of its Apple Distinguished Educators program, Class of 2003. From there, I supervised the entire library program for Lancaster ISD for almost another decade. In Lancaster ISD, I became certified as an International Baccalaureate Librarian. Also, during my library service tenure in Lancaster, Texas Library Association selected me as a panelist defining the future of library services featured in its Winter 2013 Journal. I’ve served on the education boards of the JFK Museum and the African-American Museum of Dallas. I look forward to the new library energy and experiences that this school year promises to bring.
