2018-2019 Student TransfersThe following is a list of Transfers offered by Cedar Hill ISD. One form will need to be completed for each student. No School Transportation will be provided for any transfer student.
Students of CHISD Employees
If you are an employee of Cedar Hill ISD you will need to complete the CHISD Employee Transfer form for each student wanting to attend a Cedar Hill ISD school.A new form will need to be completed for each school year. This form MUST be signed and approved by the campus principal of the campus your wish your student to attend.
In-District Transfer RequestNO TRANSFER DECISIONS WILL BE MADE UNTIL AUGUST 2018!!**Transfers are granted based upon enrollment availability at the receiving campus as well as student academic records**
In-District Transfer Forms will need to be completed for the students that live in the Cedar Hill ISD zone and request a transfer to a campus in which they are not zoned.Transfer decisions will be made by and parent notified as follows:* Request received by August 1 will be notified by August 15th* Request received after Aug 1 will be notified as soon as possible and not laterthan 5 days after Labor Day* Transfer request received after Aug 24th will be notified no later than 10instructional days from the date of the request
Non-resident of the Cedar Hill ISD School ZoneIf you live outside of the attendance zone for Cedar Hill ISD, you now have a way to apply for an open seat in a selected Cedar Hill ISD school.
After completing the New Student Online Registration process, you will take the completed Out of District Transfer Application to the campus for final approval by the selected campus principal. Approvals will be based upon classroom availability and review of the student's academic history.Out of District transfers are granted for one school year; therefore, students MUST reapply each school year.
- Parents can print the Out of District Transfer Application, pick up a copy at the CHISD Central Administration building located at 285 Uptown Blvd, or pick up a copy at any campus office
- Forms should be taken to campus for principal evaluation/approval
- Principal can only approve or deny request AFTER student enrollment application and academic history has been received and reviewed-please review board policy for additional information regarding approval/denial of transfer
- Decisions on the transfers are not required to be made until August 15th. Principals can make early transfer decision if they desire.
