• Graduation Requirements

    The default graduation plan for CHHS students is the Foundation High School Program with Distinguished Level of Achievement. This plan requires 26 credits and prepares students for college, career or military opportunities upon graduation.  See the CHISD Course Catalog for more information.

     STAAR EOC Test Requirements

    Required STAAR EOC Tests:  English I, English II, Biology, Algebra I, and US History

    In addition to meeting graduation credit requirements, students are required to pass five end-of-course (EOC) test to earn a diploma from a Texas public high school. Those five tests are given when a student takes English I and II, Biology, Algebra I, and U.S. History.

    Graduation Toolkit

    The Texas Education Agency has made a Graduation Toolkit available for families that contains information for planning your high school years and beyond.  The toolkit also lists information on the Foundation High School Program.  Please note that most school districts have additional graduation requirements.

    Grade Classification

    Students are in a cohort based on the year they entered ninth grade and the expected year of graduation.  Grade classification occurs annually based on the number of credits earned toward graduation and cohort year.
