Mrs. Eugenia Stodola
Welcome back Longhorns for an exciting 2022-2023 school year!
I will be working at Bessie Coleman for my sixth year, with students in Math Resource/In-class support classes for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I will be located in room 209, but most of the day will be spent in other rooms. Please see the class schedule for details. I have been in education for more than 20 years, ranging from teaching Pre-K to being a Geology instructor at UTA. Aside from education, I have previously worked as an exploration geologist in the petroleum industry, served on the Cedar Hill Zula B. Wylie Library Board, and volunteered in several areas of the community.
I attended undergraduate school at the University of South Florida, Natural Science/Geology. My required summer session of Geology Field Camp was at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas.
I attended graduate school at The University of Texas at Arlington, Geology.
This past summer my daughter Katie had twins - Adrian and Julian. I was able to visit her in Edgewater, MD, (she graduated from Johns Hopkins University and is now on staff), and my son, Alex, who recently moved back to Texas (Houston), after graduating from West Point, and then serving in the Army with the 82nd Airborne, is now working at MD Anderson Hospital. My granddaughter Julia is now almost three. I also have a dog, Winston, and a cat, Pegi. And don't let me forget grand kitty Checkers and grand dog Luna.
Hoping for a great year!
