About Me:

Hello Coleman Longhorns! 

This is the beginning of my 25th year as an educator and all done here within Cedar Hill Independent School District. I started out as a special education aid for 1 year, then became an attendance clerk for 2 years and from there my teaching career took off. I taught 5th grade math for 3 years at Beltline Intermediate, taught 7th grade math at Permenter Middle School for 3 years, opened Bessie Coleman in 2005 and taught 7th grade math for 3 years, became a math instructional coach for the next 7 years at various campuses, and back to my first love of teaching math for 5 years at my home of Bessie Coleman.

On a personal note, I have been married for 35 years, have 2 beautiful daughters and 2 beautiful grand-daughters. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. 

My personal and professional philosophy is "we must be intentional about learning math and how it's used every day "  I believe that when teachers are positive role models, then the experience will help mold them to be anything they choose to become.
