Parents must know: Your son will be motivated, inspired and expected to do their best everyday in athletics and in PE. They will be expected to dress out in athletic clothing. Athletic attire is a grey t-shirt and black shorts. PE is a grey t-shirt and Red shorts. Your son(s) are expected to workout outside of school hours. Athletic is very demanding and PE is a little less demanding. My PE class will incorporate other core classes in our daily activities. For example, we may write or read for twenty minutes. We exercise in English and Spanish. Athletic boys are required to perform in volunteer hours. I will have some volunteer activities for us to participate in. 

About Coach Johnson: 

 This is my ninth year at Bessie Coleman Middle School. I am more excited than I was my first year. Teaching and coaching is my passion and my calling from GOD.  I create a safe, stimulating learning environment for your child. I can encourage and support your child through the learning process. I can teach your child how to think logically and creatively. 

 I can strengthen their weaknesses and build upon their strengths. I can develop a trusting, respectful relationship with your child. I can attempt to build a productive parent/teacher relationship. I can create a positive educational experience for your child. Your child will leave Bessie Coleman with the necessary knowledge to be well prepared for the educational and athletic road ahead.

With your cooperation, we can achieve much more together. Please understand that I appreciate the enormous role that you play in creating a successful educational and athletic outcome for your child.
