Dr. X. Lewis
Welcome to the online office for Collegiate Prep's PROUD Principal.
Dr. Lewis has been proudly serving as an educational leader for 11 years in various capacities leading scholars and educators to success. Dr. Lewis is committed to ensuring continued success and well-being of learners through being a present, involved figure in the lives of staff and scholars. Throughout his career Dr. Lewis has been an elementary teacher, K-5 Curriculum and Instruction Specialist, and an Assistant Principal. Dr. Lewis has also had the privilege of working in the education department at NASA, with High School interns who are seeking careers in engineering and developing an Elementary STEM curriculum that is used throughout the country.
Dr. Lewis is a proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University where he received his Bachelor’s degree, Concordia University where he received his Master of Education degree, and Northcentral University where he received his Doctorate of Education degree.
His educational experiences have afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the goal of increasing student academic success. One of his greatest accomplishments that he shares with his colleagues and students was being named the finalist for the Region IV Teacher of the Year out of over 99,000 educators in the Region IV area.
Dr. Lewis believes that every scholar deserves a great teacher, which is why he embodies the strategic management of working with staff and educational stakeholders to provide the highest quality of education that can be offered. Dr. Lewis works with staff in the Professional Learning Community (PLC) structure, to introduce best practices that will elevate the academic success of scholars. He has made it clear that his objective in this field is to provide the best environment to support the academic success of the learners.
Dr. Lewis plays a vital role in the community, through joining and leading in organizations and helping recruit scholars to be a part of little league and other extracurricular activities outside of school.
