Parents must know: I want your child to experience art in a safe and friendly environment. All scholars are expected to participate to the best of their abilities. I will never give an assignment that I know the students cannot handle, so their best effort and participation is always required.
I establish rules and consequences in my classroom to promote an environment that will benefit having a productive class session.
The expectations are simple:
1. Participate in the activity. 2. Actively listen when someone is speaking 3. Handle materials with care 4. Follow directions, 5 Try your best.
Consequences: 1. Warning. 2. Seat change 3. Alternate activity 4. Note home 5. Parent call 6. Referral
In the artroom, we are always in need of items such as baby wipes or disinfecting wipes to clean hands and tables. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Art supplies will never be turned away!!!
About Me:
Hello Bray Longhorns!
My name is Leslie Snow and this is my fifth year working in Cedar Hill. I am very excited to be part of a district that values the fine arts and wants its scholars to have meaningful experiences while developing their talents.
My first eleven years in the classroom were spent teaching elementary core subjects. I always found ways to integrate art into my curriculum. Eight years ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to become a full-time art teacher and am now able to use my skills as a classroom teacher to integrate reading and math into art! During my first three years as an art instructor, my students participated in numerous contests and our school was consistently awarded recognition for our efforts and achievements at competitions, including the National Rose Center’s annual Christmas Cards to the Community Contest.
It is my hope to help develop a love of art for each scholar at Bray Elementary.
