Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Kourtney Coleman and this is my 6th year teaching Kindergarten at Plummer Elementary. My favorite thing about teaching is watching our class grow into a family of helpful, responsible individuals! I recently graduated from the University of Texas - Arlington in August 2022 with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I earned my Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Elementary Education in May of 2017 at Texas A&M University - Kingsville! I am certified to teach grades PreK-6 and also have my ESL Certification. I am eager to make this an amazing year for our newest kindergartners. I hope they are as excited as I am! Nelson Mandela once said "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" and I can't wait to support our newest learners along this journey in the most colorful way!
