The Pre Kindergarten Program in Cedar Hill ISD exists with the sole purpose of ensuring that students in our community have the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop using research based methods and materials. The program is free to eligible students and is funded by the Texas Education Association for students who meet eligibility requirements based on income, limited English Language proficiency, homelessness, foster child status, and/or parent who is active duty military. It is our hope that students who complete the CHISD Pre Kindergarten Program will be "School Ready" by the time they enter Kindergarten.
Teachers help children develop these abilities using curriculum that is aligned with standards for the Texas Pre-K Guidelines and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Cedar Hill ISD has adopted the Frog Street Curriculum.
